Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Hotel is right opposite of the Boboli Gardens. Great eateries nearby. Bus stand is just 50 meters away from the hotel. Was a very convenient stay and this elevated my stay experience over here.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights as a group of three, and overall had a pleasant experience, especially considering the value. A few things to note upfront: there are 41 steps to reach the hotel entrance and no elevator, which could be challenging for some guests. The building is older—like much of Florence—but it has a certain charm and was comfortable for our stay. Our room was well maintained with daily housekeeping, including bed-making and fresh towels, which we appreciated. The shower itself was nice, though the bathtub was quite tall and a bit slippery. At 69, I found it somewhat difficult to get in and out, especially without a grab bar for support. One unique aspect was the door locking system—you need a key to lock the door both when leaving and from the inside while in the room. It felt unusual at first, but likely reflects the age and style of the property. Breakfast was nicely set up and convenient, though a bit pricey compared to nearby options where you can easily grab a coffee and croissant for much less. What truly stood out was the staff. The front desk team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and personable—they made us feel right at home throughout our stay. We chose this hotel for its reasonable pricing, and it worked well for our trip visiting family studying abroad. I’ve shared these details simply to help others make an informed decision based on what matters most to them.

Highly recommended! I was traveling solo and looking for a place close to the heart of the city. You can easily walk here from Firenze SMN train station, and the picturesque streets on the way already set the tone — you’ll be amazed. The hotel is located right next to the Boboli Gardens. The building has real character; the entrance and lobby are filled with sculptures and artwork, giving you the feeling that your stay will be something special. My room had a beautiful view of the Boboli Gardens. It was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. There is also an internal AC unit — a great detail you don’t always find. I asked if I could leave my backpack before check-in, and they kindly accepted. A very special thanks to the receptionist, Anna. She is incredibly kind, helpful, and informative 😇 I’m fully satisfied with my stay ☺️ If I visit Florence again, I would definitely book the same hotel!
