An absolute heartfelt recommendation! We were looking for accommodation just outside Florence and found the perfect B&B at Agostino’s. The location is peaceful and quiet, about a 35-minute walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella. The city and its famous attractions are also easily accessible by bus. Upon our arrival, we received a warm welcome and were given a city guide (available in several languages) along with helpful local tips. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated with an elegant antique charm, and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi both worked perfectly. We enjoyed breakfast every day on the shaded terrace. It was varied and included changing regional specialties, which made it extra special. Any small requests we had were handled flexibly and without any problems by Agostino. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to others!
Location is great, walkable to the center. However we’ve felt highly uncomfortable with the owner. Everytime we came home he was waiting there to great us. Also the room, clean but in the basement. He went to the room everyday but apart from straightening the bed sheet nothing was cleaned. Super weird.
We started our road trip in Tuscany here and this place is good value for the money. We rested well as the beds are very comfy and the location is charming and quiet. They can also make you a tasty frittata for the breakfast.
Stayed at SanGaggio in 2016 with 4 other adults…the first of several trips to Tuscany. Perfect location. Walks back and forth to the old town were used for planning & recapping (we (early 60s but golfers) totaled 13miles on the first full day) and the local spot, Rugero’s, made a convenient refueling stop. Our group had a larger vehicle and parking at the corner, literally 2 or 3 units away, was clutch. Good hosts, generous breakfasts makes this a super value. We’ll be back soon!
