Duomo Luxury Florence

Duomo Luxury hotel is VERY centrally located - literally on the square of the Duomo. This comes with benefits and challenges. Benefits first - it’s centrally located and very easy to go to all the main sites in Florence. The rooms themselves are very highly specced - complimentary water and soft drinks in the room were a wonderful surprise. House keeping was great - fresh towels everyday, the room cleaned really well and the housekeeper was super friendly and helpful. The view from our bedroom was as shown in the brochure. The bathroom was well equipped. To the challenges - it’s very noisy being next to the Duomo. The rooms are not air conditioning so the rooms do get hot in the night. We opted for breakfast. The breakfast is at another hotel about 5 -8 mins walk away which initially seems daunting but was absolutely fine. The food was really good with both continental and cooked breakfast offered. It set us up really well for the long days of walking around that we did. The staff were really friendly and helpful - Service at breakfast was impeccable. Overall I would highly recommend Duomo Luxury Hotel
We stayed at this hotel for three nights in October 2025, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish—truly a 10 out of 10 in every way. The location couldn’t be more perfect—right in the very center, yet still comfortable and convenient. Despite some reviews mentioning it’s hard to find, we had no trouble at all. It’s located on the third floor and is actually very easy to access. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations: the interior design, the staff, and the cleanliness were all outstanding. What impressed us the most was the incredible attention to detail in the room—every element is thoughtfully designed to ensure maximum comfort. We are very grateful for such a wonderful stay. We will definitely return and happily recommend this hotel to all our friends.
Can’t recommend. We stayed at Duomo for 4 nights in October and were excited to book after reading all the positive reviews! Sadly we were a bit disappointed with our choice. Having paid 582€ + city tax per night, the price did not meet the quality of this hotel. This hotel felt like a solid 3 star experience and we wish we had booked elsewhere. We booked the Eleonora Junior Suite. Pros: -Excellent location (all sights, shops and restaurants at your doorstep) -Beautiful view from the room and the building rooftop terrace -Beautiful spacious room (yet a little dark, slightly outdated) -Minibar included -Coffee in the room -Great breakfast at a beautiful location, however a few blocks away. Cons: -Bad price-quality ratio, nowhere close to 5 star hotel experience -Missing the luxury feeling -It is loud (Eleonora Suite). You will hear music and the people chatting down the street at night and the church bells ring 7:45 in the morning for the first time. Only because of this, I wish we had booked elsewhere, as I did not get good night of sleep here. -Bathroom has no walls all the way up to the ceiling, meaning the lights will bother the other person in the morning, if they want to sleep longer. -Service is very friendly yet very mediocre (does not match the price or 5 star) -Had issues: At arrival, the elevator was broken, yet the staff helped us to carry our luggage all the way upstairs. No hot water in the shower one morning (Not nice!). Getting the car from the garage at check out took a long time. One night, the front door was locked so we could not enter the hotel, yet one phone call promptly fixed the issue. -Parking fee 40€/night -This does not feel like a real hotel. It is more like renting a room in an apartment building, so this was not our vibe. Had airbnb vibes but expected 5 star hotel experience. They even said themselves, they are more like a Bed&Breakfast style but do not disclose this on their website. All in all, not a terrible experience but not amazing either and our expectations were much higher than that. Price is way too high (more than 600€/night total) for what you get. It was one of most expensive hotel on our trip (Rome, Florence, Umbria) and sadly the worst.
