Leonardo da Vinci is probably the best known universal genius, who has explored every field of human knowledge of his time. He dedicated his life to the study of different subjects: from machinery to architecture, from philosophy to painting, physics and much more.
The Museum of Leonardo da Vinci is dedicated to this real genius. It is located in the heart of Florence city center and shows to the visitors the impressive work of Leonardo including the actual machines drawn in Leonardos codes.
The machines are all real and running, entirely made of wood thanks to advanced technologies and great human skills of the staff of the WorldWide Museum Activities. They are divided in 5 groups: Water, Air, Earth, Fire and Mechanisms. There are 4 Water Machines, 8 Air Machines, 11 functioning Earth Machines, 5 Fire Machines and 13 MechanismS.
The interactivity plays a key role in the exhibition as also the educational aspect.
In addition to the permanent exhibition of Leonardos works the museum hosts also different temporary exhibitions.
