Orsanmichele church is one of the most important Florentine architectures of the 13th century, passed through various renovations and different destinations: it was firstly built as a parish.
Orsanmichele is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and it is a unique example of the late gothic european architectural decor. The walls around the Church host the statues of the protective Saints of the various corporate Arts of Florence and their many signs.
The most relevant statue inside Orsanmichele is the San Giorgio by Donatello.
The church is located in Via Calzaiuoli, and it can easily be recognized by its white decorations on brown walls and the white statues surrounding it.
