Description

Create your own piece of jewelry in the Renaissance atelier of the master Dari in a small group of up to 6 people. Learn the techniques of microsculpture on wax and make your own piece of jewelry. Meet your guide at the Museum-Atelier of Alessandro Dari, officially recognized as a Museum-Workshop by the Rome’s Fine Arts Office in 2001. Located in the enchanting 15th-century Nasi-Quaratesi palace, it has become a renowned jewel museum in Florence, where visitors can admire and purchase the Master’s creations. Start with a 15-minute tour of the studio and learn about the artistic process, inspirations, and current works. Then, sit down and receive a small introduction to the lost wax technique. Each participant will be assigned a base of a wax ring on which their work will be developed according to the theme they decide to choose and which will be explained. Each participant will be assigned a wax heater that will be used to shape the ring. A small test will be done before proceeding on the ring. Begin to create your ring, with the master always present to give you suggestions and corrections. When you have completed your work, it will be submitted to the Master's review and corrections. At the end of your experience, decide whether to take your wax jewelry home with you or decide to have it melted by the master and then subsequently be sent to your country.
